When you are looking for a fishing experience, New Smyrna Beach is known internationally for trophy size fish. There are 700 species of salt and freshwater fish in the Indian River making this area the most diverse estuary in North America. You will find licensed guided trips to the protected three-foot-deep water of Mosquito Lagoon or deep sea fishing for yourself or family. Go out for the day, or just few hours, cast your line into the ocean or river and get ready for an eventful day! If you prefer you can experience surf fishing,
and while waiting for the fish to bite, enjoy and watch the waves crashing on
your feet under a fresh ocean breeze. Wow! how relaxing that
can be!
Your kids will be safe playing on the white fine sand on a non-drive beach. For the older kids that like more action, they can go boogie boarding, or ride the waves on surfboards. Enjoy the view or try your luck at fishing.
